Sam and Brady

This evening my father came home from a family reunion in Georgia that I was not able to attend, but it has me thinking of the silos I used to see every summer, the quiet open spaces of cotton fields and the color of empty dirt roads.  It's easy to imagine the romance of rural life, but what's even easier is to see the simplicity of what matters most, what the land needs, what we need. I immediately thought of Sam and Brady. Sam and Brady are farmers, they even showed us the house they will be living in once they are married, and God willing, they'll raise their family there on that same land Brady grew up on.  These grasses will be where their lives begin together, where seeds are sown into their golden harvest.  Like any Midwestern farm, the sun dropped quickly over the many acres; and after hearing my dad's stories upon returning from his native state, well... it's one of those moments where you believe more than ever that God didn't just gave us time to fill, or land to use, but He gave us love, and it really does make all the difference.

Emily Ann

Sweet moments of reverie and nostalgia were not hard to emphasis in this luscious green field where our senior shoot took place.  Emily and I met just prior to the shoot, but we were on the same page of the book long before the cover was even opened.  I've started to name the moments... sun kissed, violet, cotton candy... a harry callahan second, a carnival memory... they go on and on.  Thank you Emily, you are a beautiful young lady with a smile contagious and blessed.  The path of your next journey is waiting for you, congratulations on your graduation.

Love Thy Neighbor

Hearts of Gold.  Rachel and Jason have an undeniable happiness in just being together, and it is no coincidence their paths met as neighbors.  God had it planned just as their path is before them now... and I'm thankful, beyond words, that I came to be a part of it.

Mary Ellen and Owen

Just a little sneak peek for a couple that I loved working with! Mary Ellen and Owen are going to have one gorgeous wedding and I am so excited to be part of it  {gorgeous subjects never hurt either}.  From the moment Mary Ellen walked in the door, I had my heart set on being her photographer  . . . and now I am pretty sure her heart is set on having this chandeleir!  I really appreciate the willingness they had in spending a cold morning outside with me, it was good practise for the always beautiful and unpredictable Novembers of Indiana. You can see more of Julie's amazing refinishing work at http://www.bellachicinteriors.com/.
