In 1913 Chales Severin Jr, Carl Fisher and James Allison thought it would be a good idea to build a luxury hotel... and thank goodness they did! We were so excited to photograph Nicole and Tom's winter wedding at the Omni Severin Hotel, nostalgically reminiscent of our own reception years ago, and very honored to be a part of this military celebration that would end our 2012 season. The beauty began as Nicole gracefully walked down the original marble staircase to meet her gentleman in uniform, and as you can see, there was an eagerness and excitement between the two that lasted the entire night. I'm not sure what stands out most; the classy demeanor of this couple, the very grand saber entrance to their reception, the first dance so well done, the night lit up by the band, the golden glow of the holiday decor or the grandeur of the hotel itself. But, in truth, nothing could have been more endearing than the glimmer in Tom's eyes each time he looked at Nicole ~ a youthful love amongst this historical backdrop, timeless in every way.
